We need more cars like the Datsun Cross in Malaysia

The Datsun CROSS was recently introduced in the Indonesian market, making it the third model introduced locally and the sixth new Datsun on a global scale.

The Datsun CROSS is powered by a lightweight and highly responsive 1.2-liter engine with a mere 78 hp and 104 Nm of torque. The lack of punch is offset by the availability of a manual transmission along with the option for a X-Tronic CVT.

On the outside, it comes with protective body cladding and extensive underbody protection guarding against possible damage from debris and other objects.

Other notable equipment includes signature LED daytime running lights, automatic projector headlamps, 15-inch wheels and a roof rail that can accommodate up to 30 kg of cargo.

Inside, the CROSS’ black interior is clad in fabric, with a honeycomb pattern and silver stitching. It’s 5+2 seating configuration meant that the two extra seats in the third row can be folded away when not needed – freeing up more boot space.

Safety wise, ABS, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Traction Control, Vehicle Dynamic Control and brake-limited slip differential are standard along with limited dual front airbags.

Regularly spend countless hours online looking at cars and parts I can't afford to buy. How a car makes you feel behind the wheel should be more important than the brand it represents - unless resale value is your thing.
