Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Hap Seng Star launch new showroom in Kota Kinabalu CBD

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd and authorised dealer Hap Seng Star Sdn Bhd (HSS) have officially opened their doors to the brand new and seventh Autohaus in Malaysia. The launch is the start of an RM30 million investment for HSS to enhance customer reach in East Malaysia.

HSS Kota Kinabalu spans an area of 7,346 sq ft and is located right in the heart of town at the Ground Floor of Plaza Shell at 29 Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. The RM2 million showroom is manned by 11 trained employees and incorporates the brand’s streamlined design, dubbed Mercedes-Benz Presentation System II (MPS II).2015-HSS-Autohaus-KK-9

To complement the showroom, the workshop in Inanam was also refurbished to improve after-sales services which covers both passenger and commercial vehicles. The 24,000 sq ft workshop accommodates up to 14 passenger cars and two commercial vehicles, including body repairs and paintwork.

The partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Hap Seng Star Sdn Bhd go way back since 1969 when HSS first introduced Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in the East Malaysian region. CEO and President of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, Dr Claus Weidner said, “HSS Kota Kinabalu is a positive step in developing our dealer network, especially in East Malaysia. Our presence in this region dates back to 1969, and our partnership with Hap Seng Star, has served to strengthen it. Hap Seng Star has fully embraced an ‘enduring passion’ for the Mercedes-Benz brand and business that continues till today.”
